Building a vintage Bronco with modern updates has become uber popular. And for good reason – they are cooler than ever with timeless styling. Hence your build needs a radiator that handle modern horsepower and modern A/C cooling power, like Vintage Air.

Because the Bronco engine compartment is fairly narrow, there isn’t a lot of room to make a wide crossflow radiator in the Broncos. As such, most Broncos crossflow radiators are made with an 20″ wide x 19″ high core. For comparison purposes, the core size is in a 68 Chevelle is 28-1/4″ wide x 19″ high. That’s a HUGE difference.

An 20″ wide core with 1″ tubes is barely adequate to cool a mild 289 motor. To address this, we only build the Bronco radiators with 2-rows of 1-1/4″ tube cores. By using the larger HD cores with 1-1/4″ tubes, your Bronco will stay cool both cruising down the highway with the A/C blasting or on slow rock climbs where you need it.

This is where most people get tripped up trying to keep their Bronco cool – using whack radiators that will never work in a tight space with modern horsepower levels.

They use a core and fan combo that is in adequate, before the first drop of coolant is ever poured into it.
